Abstract:

With the aim to investigate the impact of ginger powder supplementation on the body weight of kuroiler chicks, a laboratory experiment was carried out at Poultry Farm, S.K.N. College of Agriculture, Jobner, Jaipur, (Rajasthan), India, during the winter season, from November 19 to February 6, 2023. Ten treatment groups, each consisting of thirty chicks, were used in the experiment, which was set up using a Complete Randomized Design (CRD). Each group was then subdivided into three repetitions, each consisting of ten chicks. Among the treatments were the basal diet was given to the T0 treatment, while the basal diet with 0.5%, 7.5%, and 1% ginger powder were given to the T1, T2, and T3 treatments. Table 1 displays the hematological parameters for the chicks at 8 weeks of age with regard to Hb, PCV, RBC, WBC, neutrophil, lymphocyte, monocyte, and eosinophil. Data on hemoglobin, PCV, RBC, and WBC were analyzed, and the results indicated a significant impact on different treatment groups. Hb and PCV levels increased statistically significantly (p<0.05) in the ginger treated group compared to the control group.
