Abstract:

Agricultural education and research in India have undergone significant development, contributing to the country's agricultural advancements and food security. The establishment of agricultural universities and research institutes has played a pivotal role in fostering innovations and improving agricultural practices (Raj & Kumar, 2020). However, challenges such as infrastructure gaps, limited industry-relevant curricula, and insufficient skilled human resources persist (Singh & Sharma, 2019). Libraries, acting as information hubs, are instrumental in addressing these challenges by offering access to scholarly materials, digital resources, and research databases (Mohanty & Swain, 2021). They support both educators and students in navigating agricultural knowledge, contributing to the broader dissemination of research findings. Libraries' integration of digital technologies further enhances research capabilities, making them vital to the future of agricultural education in India (Kaur & Dhillon, 2018). This paper discusses the evolution of agricultural education and research, key challenges, and how libraries are shaping the educational landscape.
