International Journal of Agriculture and Nutrition (P-ISSN 2664-6064, E-ISSN 2664-6072) publishes every article under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial (CC BY-NC) 4.0 licence. This page explains, in plain language, what readers may do with a published paper, what authors keep, and when written permission is needed.

What Readers May Do

Articles in this agriculture and nutrition journal are open access from the day they are published. There is no subscription, no paywall and no registration. Under the licence above, anyone may:

• Read and download the full text of any published paper free of charge
• Copy and redistribute the article in any medium or format
• Print copies for personal study, classroom teaching or extension work
• Remix, adapt and build upon the material for non-commercial purposes

The one condition is attribution. You must credit the original authors and this journal, and state whether you changed anything.

Copyright Stays With the Authors

Authors published here keep the copyright in their own work. The journal does not ask for a transfer of copyright. What the licence grants is permission for readers to reuse the article; it does not move ownership to the publisher.

This also means authors may reuse their own paper freely: in a thesis, in a later book chapter, in a training manual, in departmental teaching material or on a personal website, without writing to the journal for permission.

Depositing Your Article in a Repository

Authors may deposit the published version of their paper in an institutional repository, a subject repository such as a national agricultural research archive, or a personal or departmental page. The journal follows the Sherpa/Romeo Green policy, so no embargo period applies and no separate permission is needed. A link back to the article page on this website is appreciated.

How to Cite and Attribute an Article

A correct attribution names the authors, the article title, the journal with its volume, issue and year, and the DOI. Every published article carries a Crossref DOI under the prefix 10.33545/26646064, and the full citation appears on the article page.

A typical citation looks like this:

If you have adapted a figure, a table or a dataset from an article, say so alongside the credit so readers can tell the original from your version.

Commercial Reuse Needs Permission

The NonCommercial part of the licence means the free permission above does not extend to commercial use. Reproducing an article in a paid training package, a commercial product brochure, a seed or fertiliser catalogue, or any publication sold for profit falls outside the licence. For those uses, contact the journal office in advance; charges are applicable and permission is given in writing.

Figures, Tables and Third-Party Material

The licence covers the material the authors themselves created. If an article reproduces a figure, photograph, map or table taken from another publication, that item stays under its own original licence. Check the figure caption or the acknowledgements before reusing such material, and go to the original rights holder where required.
